7 New.

kiss
powder
sweet as honey
how I wish
this smelled
like you
nestled next
in the dark
ten hours pass
and all
I remember
is the light
there are
fields of gray
behind that hill
engulfed within
the stones
that are
my stomach
ribbon wound
tight
The flood of
cool
green
grass
poppies
in a field
and all
that sings
quiet and still
listening to
the shine.

Door
Ah-pass
the corridor
the open landing
with
wide eyes
gleam
into the heart
of fear.

Pure
There streams
from the mind
something ancient
storm lit
against the tower
how gracious
lightning

sin
hatchet man
bring down
the house
call out
the guards
and sliver
them through
with golden
coins
creep up
the steps
hover over
the bed
with gray eyes
and claws
like daggers

Gratitude
Please
pitiful
loud
against the rocks
call the names
none with you
shall walk
the broken bones
flush against the skin
beaten down
into the dust
remember doors
two at your side
open one
while the other
screams

Fate
Fallen
kissing
the deep air
where dragons
once flew
red and ripe
fire passes through lungs
call them back.

Push
Press the petals
close against the eyes
let them breathe in
the warmth of amber
blend the seasons
stop the Earth

  1. Gratitude and Fate are my favorites but all are excellent!
